The snow is thick on the ground as I write and my local roads are covered in ice, but dates are coming in for 2013 season Porsche events happening all over Europe and beyond.
Martin Lawrence from the 964RS Database emails with details of the 2013 Porsche RS Fest, on June 14 at Zolder. I’ve met Martin at a few gatherings, including the RS Day at Oulton Park in March, now being organised by the not-for-profit porsche-on-track.com.
There’s an awful lot of pretty parking in pics from these events, but have no fear of Porsche geeks! Along with most of the 964RS owners I’ve met, Martin’s a very normal bloke. Anyone who’s not got the keys to a 964RS but would still like to take part should have no fear of signing up for the RS track days, or the RS Fest at Zolder. My first dyno day was a 964 RS register event and it was an excellent social.
There’s a programme of events surrounding Zolder which I’ll blog about later. This year’s Oulton RS track day on the 8th of March is sold out, but you can register as a reserve or just rock up for a look. It’s a fun day out: I’m known for being last man out of the car park at the end of the day.
