Great news for UK Porsche Motorsport fans, as Nick Tandy signs with Stuttgart on a Porsche Works drive: the ultimate Christmas present!
Nick recently became the third Briton ever to win the Porsche Cup: a trophy inaugurated by Ferry Porsche to honour the most successful privately-funded racing drivers of his cars. He’s been amazing to watch in everything I’ve seen, so we’re delighted that Porsche has tied him to a major deal.
Nick’s appointment takes the number of Porsche works drivers to ten. With a burgeoning motorsport programme for next year, I see some exciting road trips for Ferdinand Magazine ahead. Nick’s first works drive will be at Daytona 24-Hour on January 26th: my birthday. Let’s hope that’s a positive omen!
Here’s Nick at Carrera Cup Zandvoort in 2011: a blistering first lap around this superb circuit.

Congratulations Nick , Could never foresee this when we sponsored your Mini-Stocks all those years ago
Cool Ian – well done on the sponsorship! Hope it pays off now that talent you appreciated is more widely recognised.
Well done Nick – From another who has followed your progress from your Mini Stox days. There’s never been a more deserving driver…. Good luck in 2013, hope to see you at some point (but no need to drive through a gravel trap to talk to me again…!) Matt….
Well done Nick, I see your driving style hasn’t changed much, love it.
