Regular readers may remember I blogged this superb Porsche 997 GT3 RS for sale at JZM Porsche last time it was available. Seems the buyer has not had time to enjoy the car and it’s back up for sale, with the extra incentive of track time alongside our 911 Club Sport-owning friend and former F1 driver, Mike Wilds.
Prices for low mileage Gen II GT3 RS models have strengthened since the 991 GT3 fireball problems. I know two 991 GT3 owners who have sold their cars back to Porsche, and JZM Porsche has also sold a pair of 991 GT3s on as the owners no longer wanted them.
As a near-perfect example of the final Mezger-engined 911, this 12,000-mile grey and red Porsche 997.2 GT3 RS represents a nice opportunity for someone hunting a straight second-generation 997 GT3 RS. It comes with a great factory track spec and aftermarket additions, which could be sold separately or used as intended, including:
- Carbon Sports Bucket Seats
- Sports Chrono +
- Xenon cornering lights
- SQS sequential gearshift
- KW V3 suspension (factory nose lift removed to fit)
- Akrapovic Race Exhaust system (I think Titanium)
- Alcon discs with Endless pads
- Uniball suspension upgrades
- Cup LSD plates
- RSS engine mounts
- 18″ BBS wheels with multiple additional wheels and tyres
- New Brian James trailer
I’ve heard the car running through the Akrapovic exhaust: it’s glorious. Less basso than a 911, this is more bike-like: especially using that sequential shift gearchange system. I don’t think this will hang around long: hot cakes is how 997 Gen II models are selling at JZM Porsche just now. Call the boys on 01923 269788.
